i recently obtained a copy of this disk, it is very well done, copied from the LPs with no surface noise, hissing, pops, etc. it is nice to have this US LP in both mono and stereo on one disk, and most likely Capitol records/etc will never release it on an official cd. so, if you get a chance to have this one, do so,you will not be disappointed. the folks at ROARING MOUSE have put out a good sounding product in this disk,

I noticed the butcher photo is not the one released on the
official Capitol w/ Paul "smiling." Excellent sound quality!
Review by: Bob Stahley, bobs@primenet.comOn 04 Aug 2001
Not completely as advertised (at least not my copy, YAT-495): while the monaural versions do seem to be the "original" versions, the stereo mixes of "I'm Only Sleeping," "Dr. Robert" and "And Your Bird Can Sing" are the "true stereo" mixes as on the Parlophone _Revolver_, not the "duophonic" remixes of the rough monos that Capitol were sent and that appeared on all copies of Y&T made at least up until the early 'eighties. While it's nice to have the rough mono mixes of these three songs (tho they do seem to be the duophonic versions folded to mono), this is NOT "the ORIGINAL Capitol ... STEREO mix" as purported.

Just wanted to correct Bob Stahley's assertion that the stereo mixes of the 3 'Revolver' songs are not the genuine Capitol stereo mixes. He is correct that originally Capitol issued Y&T with duophonic mixes of these songs on the stereo release. However there was a Capitol Club edition (or something like that) that featured on pressings post 1973 (I think) which featured identical mixes of Dr robert and And Your Bird... to the UK Revolver album, but I'm Only Sleeping is a different stereo mix. So part of what he asserts is correct, but I'm Only Sleeping is a different mix to the standard UK / CD stereo mix, and this version of the stereo album has been generally available since the mid 70's.

Excellent release with both mono & stereo and though the pic is not the exact one that was used on the original release it's a pretty similar pose from all 4 Beatles!

The Millenium Remasters has much better sound. This one will be gathering dust from now on.
