This CD,along with volumes 2 and 3, contain much of the same material as 'The Get Back Journals',but some of it is presented here in better sound quality. All in all, these CDs serve as good introductions to the 'Get Back Sessions.

The place where I bought this boot had the three for a long time until I bought two from this three cd set. The one that I didn't buy is still there today !
The only thing of interest is the "Octopus's Garden" session here. I find that there is a lot of cuts throughout the cd except for this bit. The sound and the speed vary a lot also...

A historical record...with a big sound and nothing new on the tracks. The CD's 1, 2 and 3 are the better example of a beatle's sound, a big document.

What do you want in trade?

One of my first bootleg purchases years ago but fortunately these are no longer core!

Now are obsolete by the Yellow Dog Day by Day series that are in complete form with superior mono sound from the original Nagra tapes (not vinyl transfers or tape copies).

Seek those who seek the Get Back sessions!

What's more to ad to the above reviews/comments??
Well, that it's nice - although it's just a snippet - to hear Satisfaction finally. I know it's also on other boots (like the immense series and boxes from these sessions) but here it's easy to find and it's always nice to surprise my Rolling Stones friends with this kind of renditions (like I was surprised by Keith Richards' Please Please Me on the Stonesboot Acoustic Motherf**kers) ;-)

Beatles '69 Rehearsals Vol.1-3.

Picked up all three original vol.'s on Blue Kangaroo CD's.

Factory pressed silver CD's indicate Blue Kangaroo-Australia, but also indicate East European Mfg.

Date on CD's are 1991.

Nice rehearsals from the Get Back Sessions.

Source notes and recording dates above are quite accurate.

These can be a bit of hard listening, with lots of time tuning up and jibberish, punctuated with a few songs.

Sound quality is excellent stereo mixing board fidelity.

Nice stuff, if you can get by all the tuning up.

Excellent quality in packaging and presentation.

Recommended more for the die-hard fans due to all the tuning up between songs.

Review by: L. SHALDERSOn 25 Jan 2010 at 16:43 CEST
After this accurate review by Cooley, as usual, all I can say is that nowadays the interest on this discs remains due to the pristine artwork found on the first edition only, with beautiful fold out covers, maybe the best ever covering these series.

Own it and would agree with most reviews.
