A great collection of demos and outtakes from the "Rumours" album sessions.

The recommended songs from this set (AKA-"Rumours: The Other Side")

Track 2-Oh Daddy-(Take #2)-Great Christine McVie classic. An outtake not used for the album, With more prominant Stevie Nicks background vocals...IMO, This version is much better than the officially released version.

Track 5-Gold Dust Woman-Outtake not used. Includes a Lindsey Buckingham "screamed count-in". A more laidback Stevie Nicks vocal...More of a "Eerie" ending than the official release.

Track 7-Think About Me-Another outtake that would eventually end up on Stevie Nicks's classic solo album "Bella Donna". A more bluesy version than the officially release version.

Track 10-The Chain (Instru)-Studio jam that resulted in the music for the classic song "The Chain". John McVie's classic "Bass" riff on the song "The Chain" is heard here for the first time.

Track 12-Songbird-(Take 1)-Christine McVie's classic show ending song. Great piano playing and a little more instrumentation and vocals from Christine...This take also included an extra verse.

Track 13-Dreams-Studio Demo without any backing vocals or the electric guitar overdubs.

Track 16-The Dealer (AKA-"Mistress Of MY Fate)-Studio Demo-A song that has yet to appear on any Fleetwood Mac/Stevie Nicks solo albums. This version is has some great singing by Stevie. There is also available a Master Session of "The Dealer" from 2/15/81 & 2/16/81 for the "Bella Donna" album.

Track 17-Silver Springs-A classic by Stevie Nicks that was bumped from "Rumours" in favor of the song "I Don't Wanna Know" due to time constraints. This version is from the original 45 B-Side of "Go Your Own Way" (Released-US:Dec.'76- UK:Jan.'77)

This bootleg would get a 10 rating but due to some static and noise it rates an 8, Still a great listen.

Wow, what can I say.. One of my favorite albums of all times was RUMOURS. I love this bootleg. I see no problems with it & I say it is a must for any MAC fan.

The King has spoken.

Holy Moley! This is a prize, I was lucky to trade for a copy! A lot of these versions seem to be taken from the original backing tracks sessions, the quality is better than I imagined, it must have been dubbed onto cassette tape by some staff member at WB/Reprise at the time.
Drasticly different takes of many radio staples makes you want to hear them over and over! Would have been nice if they used the outtake photo of the cover (found in Mick's biography) for this release.

Hey, make your own!

Track 7, Think About Me, must have been written by Stevie Nicks, not Christine McVie, as Stevie sings lead on this version and it appears on Stevie's solo album. FM also performed a song entitled Think About Me which was composed by Christine, but that is a completely different song with the same name.
