This disc, for me, is a load of fun. It may not be the greatest sound quality, and the constant feedback (which sounds like sync tones, but are not) could bother some people. Other wise, this is great. The Stax musicians fit right in. Listening to this makes it so noticeable how much CCR were duplicating the style of Stax records and Booker T. & the MG's.

I wonder how and why this session came about, and I'm glad it did and even more so that it was recorded. Here you have the line up of not only Booker T. Jones on Organ, but Steve Cropper on guitar along with John (Guitar & Vocal) & Doug (drums). I'm not sure if it's Stu or "Duck" Dunn on bass. There styles are to similar, but I'm pretty sure I hear Duck's voice in the back. I'll have to listen to it again closer. And that's what I'm gonna do...
