La conferencia secreta del Toto's Bar (Toto's Bar top-secret conference) was the 3rd. and last Shakers LP.

Despite their recording company just wanted an LP of hits, their music became more complex, merging the Beatle style with some South American styles such as candombe and bossa-nova.
By the time this LP was released (without support or publicity of their recording company), the group had broken-up.

This album is also known as the Shakers' Sgt.Pepper.

After 30+ years of being released, it's still a pleasure to listen to these songs.

Los Shakers are great.
If you like good melodies and inventive chords
and a taste for the Beatles, you gotta check Los
Shakers. Obviously, english is their second language,
but it really doesn't matter does it? They're alot of fun,
and a good melody will always stand above everything.
Hey, and their english is still better than my spanish!
I wish they would get back together and tour the U.S.
They're very good, and there's no reason they can't be
bigger than the Beatles...Well, OK, bigger than the Rutles.
:)

This LP is Amazing !

For if you didin't know, The Shakers reunited some time ago. I saw them perform last year at Faena's Hotel (Puerto Madero, Buenos Aires, Argentina), in a very private live show. Then I had a few words with Hugo and he signed a "Best Of.." Shaker's CD I had with me.
Then, also last year, they did a few shows for the general public (also in Buenos Aires.) But I really doubt they'll tour the U.S =/
